The 2012 Honda Civic is like no other automatic fuel efficient vehicle I have driven in the past. The 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with 140 hp is strong enough to feel its power on the road yet is still incredibly economic with 28 mpg in the city and 39 mpg oh highways! The gears changed flawlessly when I hit the gas getting onto the highway. I couldn’t hear a sound and the ride was indescribably smooth.

The multi informational display is fantastic as well, I could easily read what songs were playing while I was driving. The interior was very spacious with more leg room and shoulder room for the front and rear passengers. The 2012 Honda Civic is on an entirely different list when I compare it to all of the fuel efficient cars in its class. The style is sleek, the inside is comfortable and charming, visibility is perfect, and the drive was smooth and fast!

The most impressive part about the 2012 Honda Civic is how there are so many upgrades from the 2011 Honda Civic and so many options like the Hybrid, Coupe, HF, and Sedan… Yet the prices have largely unchanged! There are so many trim styles to chose from at, check out your Atlanta Dealer!

Hybrids have stole the show for iconic gas mileage. Rightfully so, the Honda CR-Z, Civic Hybrid, and Insight Hybrid have all shown huge savings at the pump.  Many industry experts are looking at the Overall Cost of ownership over specific periods of time, and thats where the Honda Hybrids have stolen the show! I read a report from Honda - Sales Insight.  It reviewed the cost of ownership- and the significant saving with Honda Hybrid Cars.

Green Cars just got greener thanks to Honda! The all new 2012 Honda Civic will introduce some more Honda firsts. If you want to learn how to be more civic-minded-learning how to drive to conserve fuel will be added to the non-hybrid Civics too! The Civic will coach the driver on how to optimize fuel efficiency using the proven Honda Eco-Assist!  Natural Gas ? That’s right -Honda will build OEM  dedicated CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) stations throughout the United States, so all states will be able to take advantage of the Civic GXs! Lithium Ion Batteries will replace the Nickel Hydride Battery packs in the 2012 Civic Hybrids!  Honda has raised the bar on responsible automobile manufacturing!

Styling was not left out either, “One-Motion” was the design theme, and looking at the photos of the 2012 Civics – I understand why. The Civic’s design is one fluid motion – swept back, the fit and finish is almost seamless, Honda has not figured out how to cover the door and hood spaces, but knowing Honda – they will soon! The coupes styling is very pronounced, the lines are well defined. The sedan is a must see, Honda has utilized the design to promote cabin space, but they were also able to improve the sportiness.

I am certain the Bluetooth audio, USB interfaces, and other creature comforts will be added to enhance the overall satisfaction with the 2012 Honda Civics. Carpools are  a great way to reduce emissions and conserve on gas.    So, if you have a sizable commute, and co-worker close… by all means organize a carpool. Evaluate what is in your vehicle. Do you have items in your vehicle that you don’t necessary need in your vehicle.  A reduction of 100lbs can improve your gas mileage by as much as 2%. So, no need to drive around with those cases of water bottles, or the chairs and gear from the baseball game from last week!  Cruise control is also key. By using cruise control, you minimize the pedal play, and you can improve your gas mileage. Atlanta drivers all have seen the aggressive drivers. Not only are they unsafe, but aggressive driving can reduce fuel economy by 33%!  Patience truly is a virtue, and above all a dire responsibility while safely operating a vehicle. Excessive idling not only produces unnecessary emissions, but also reduces your fuel economy. If you pull up to a fast food restaurant, and the line is long. Walk in and place a to-go order. No need to wait 10 minutes in an idling car. Again- Enviro-friendly driving is a commitment! All Hondas and Acuras have a overdrive gear, either 5 or 6 speed transmissions, on the later models. Be sure to allow the engine speed to reduce by driving with overdrive engaged. Driving at less RPMs will stretch fuel economy and lower emissions.
